The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders shut out the Indianapolis Indians 1-0 for a second straight night at Victory Field.

It was the third shutout victory of the season for the RailRiders (8-7) and their fifth win in six games to secure its first winning record of 2017.

The SWB pitching staff has not allowed a run in 20 consecutive innings. Indianapolis (4-12) has lost 12 of its last 14 and owns the worst record in the minors.

For the second straight night, the game’s only run came on a two-out extra-base hit in the third inning. Outfielder Clint Frazier smashed his second homer of the season into the teeth of the wind, clearing the left-field fence against starter Josh Lindblom (0-2).

Southpaw Dan Camarena (1-0) took over from there. Called up from Double-A earlier in the day, Camarena faced two over the minimum during his 6.1 innings of three-hit, scoreless baseball. He struck out five and walked none.

Tyler Jones stranded an inherited runner in the seventh and fired a perfect eighth, striking out each of the last four men he faced. Ernesto Frieri tossed a perfect ninth for his second save.

The three-game series concludes Sunday at 1:35 p.m. SWB’s Brady Lail (1-0, 6.75) faces fellow right-hander Drew Hutchison (0-1, 5.51). The RailRiders return home Tuesday.
