HARRISBURG — Mohegan Sun Pocono saw its April gross revenue from slot machines drop by more than 5 percent compared to 2016, according to a report released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Tuesday.

The Plains Township casino brought in $18,117,124.86 in gross revenue from slot machines during the month, compared to $19,236,060.64 during the same time in 2016 — a 5.5 percent drop.

Statewide slot machine revenue at the Pennsylvania’s 12 casinos was down 1.58 percent to $205,702,752.11 compared to $208,999,688.48 in April 2016.

Mohegan Sun’s drop was the second biggest in the state. Only Presque Isle Downs Casino in Erie had a bigger drop at 6.05 percent.

Mount Airy Casino in Mount Pocono was one of just four casinos to see gross slot revenues increase from April 2016. Mount Airy brought in $12,697,643.00 in April 2017 compared to $12,380,645.21 in April of 2016 for a 2.56 percent increase.

Only Valley Forge Casino Resort had a higher increase, seeing its gross slot revenues go up 8.13 percent.
