Joseph Kozlowski

Joseph Kozlowski, 68, of Leslie Drive, Wayne, N.J., formerly of Nanticoke,
died Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Patterson, N.JBorn Jan. 20, 1925, in
Nanticoke, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lucy Kania Kozlowski. He
attended Nanticoke public schools, and was a 1942 graduate of the high school.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at Penn State
University.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific.
Prior to retiring in 1983, he was employed by ITT, Nutley, N.J., as an
electrical engineer.
He was a member of Annunciation Roman Catholic Church, Wayne, N.J. He was
also a member of American Legion Post 1000, Wayne, N.J.
Surviving are his wife, the former Dolores Orkwis; daughters, Renee Wefer,
Ocean, N.J.; Sharon Heffner, Somerset, N.J.; sons, Joseph, Rochester, N.Y.;
Kenneth, Wayne, N.J.; seven grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Putkoski,
Pittsburgh; Carol Nussbaum, Anaheim, Calif.; brother, Richard, Nanticoke;
several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Monday from the William E. Davis Funeral
Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30
a.m. in Holy Trinity Church.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Newport Township.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
