Melinda Glodek and Michael Galli were united in marriage Aug. 2, 2008, in Bennett Presbyterian Church by the Rev. James Quinn.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Agnes Glodek, Hanover Township. She is the granddaughter of the late Vincent and Marjorie Wallace and the late Bernard and Lottie Glodek.
The groom is the son of Frank Galli, Drifton, and Ruth Galli, Plains Township. He is the grandson of Helen Galli, Wyoming; the late Salvatore Galli; and the late Matthew and Ruth Burnside.
The bride, escorted by her father, chose Jeanine Gagliardi as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were: Michelle Galli, sister of the groom; Darci Kirby, Beth Tarnalicki, Allison Sammons, Holly Szychowski, Amy Sanguedolce, friends of the bride; and Desiree Spaide, niece of the groom.
Joseph Giomboni was the best man. Groomsmen were Frank Galli, brother of the groom; Jason Giomboni, Joseph Pilarcik, John Gavin, Dennis Bieryla, Robert Yuhas, friends of the groom; and Anthony Galli, nephew of the groom.
Julia Noelle Bucknavage, niece of the groom, was the flower girl. George Tanner Manzoni, friend of the bride and groom, was the ring bearer. Programs were distributed by Jenna Burns, Johnna McGovern, Sara Menn and Thomas and Tyler Manzoni. Scripture readings were given by Ann Marie Galli, sister of the groom, and Kelly Menn, cousin of the bride. Vocalists were Patrick Schwartz and Mary Schwartz. Musicians were Julle Supplee Sipler and Denise Searfoss, violinists, and Jean Supplee Brubaker, cellist. A poem was written and read by Jackie Dickson.
The bride was honored at a bridal brunch given by the bride’s mother and attendants at The Waterfront in Plains Township. The rehearsal dinner was given by the godmother and parents of the bride at Old Tyme Charlie’s. An evening cocktail hour and reception were hosted by the parents of the bride at Irem Temple Country Club, Dallas.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Hanover Area High School and earned a master’s degree in occupational therapy and a bachelor’s degree in health science from College Misericordia. She is employed by Aegis Therapies as an occupational therapist at Golden Living Center-East Mountain.
The groom is a 1999 gradate of Coughlin High School and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of King’s College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history and secondary education certificate. He is employed as a social studies teacher by the Wilkes-Barre Area School District and as the head golf coach at Coughlin High School.
The couple honeymooned in Aruba. They reside in Swoyersville.
