Frances Veronica Spencer, 81, of Berwick, died July 31, 2008 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born Dec. 21, 1926 in Nanticoke, a daughter of the late Peter and Veronica Wilowsky Lisowski. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Mocanaqua. Veronica was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Bernard Lisowski.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edgar Robert Spencer; daughters, Christine Frances Spencer, North Carolina, Justin Judith and her husband, Sinagar, Connecticut, Pamela Catherine Spencer, Berwick; sons, Edgar Jr., Shickshinny, James Peter and his wife, Patricia, North Carolina, Paul Nicholas and his wife, Stacey, Berwick, Gary Frances and his wife, Laurie, Berwick; grandchildren, Edgar III., Kristen, Dink, Jimmy, Katrina, Jerry, Paul Jr., Katie and Terra; great-grandchildren, Sierra, Brayden, Samantha Breauna; sisters, Carla Manik, Old Forge, Barbara Freeman, Beach Haven.
Private memorial services were held Aug. 2 from the Clarke Piatt Funeral Home, Hunlock Creek.
