WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Township police arrested Ruben Dagoberto Lopez, 26, of Brooklyn, with stealing two bicycles from the Walmart Supercenter, Wilkes-Barre Township Marketplace, when the store was closed early Wednesday morning.

Police allege Lopez was spotted by employees arriving for work pushing two bicycles through the parking lot just after 4 a.m., according to the criminal complaint.

The bicycles were found hidden in bushes near a restaurant.

Police allege in the complaint Lopez entered the store when it was closed and had stolen the bicycles.

Lopez was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, retail theft, receiving stolen property and theft. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail.
