WILKES-BARRE TWP. — A Wilkes-Barre man faces charges after police say he returned stolen items for gift cards at Walmart.

At 9:34 p.m. on Saturday, police say that Adam Boesche, 32, allegedly returned a screen protector and phone case to the customer service desk for two gift cards, totaling $69.72.

Boesche also allegedly concealed a speaker case, valued at $9.88.

When Boesche was taken into custody, police discovered that he was also allegedly in possession of a prescription medication unlawfully.

Boesche will be charged with retail theft, theft by deception and possession of a controlled substance.
