NANTICOKE — Luzerne County Community College joined ranks with Wilkes University and Misericordia University when it rolled out its new mobile application — Ellucian GO — Tuesday. The application will allow students to pay bills, see class schedules and learn what classes have been canceled.

According to the college’s Chief Technology Officer Don Nelson, the app can be found on both Apple Store and Google Play.

Developed by the school’s software developer, Ellucian Go, a Title III grant enabled the college to “strengthen technological resources” by bringing the app to campus.

The app has links to the school’s social media, a GPS-infused campus map, including off-campus sites.

“It’s an added resource to help the students,” Nelson said, noting non-students can also download the app but for student features — such as bill paying and class schedules — a Luzerne County Community College student portal login is required.

To download the app on a mobile device, search for “Ellucian Go” in the Apple Store and on Google Play. After downloading the app, use the drop down menu to search for Luzerne County Community College.
