WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Police were called to the Walmart Supercenter in the Wilkes-Barre Township Marketplace twice on Monday — first for the report of a stolen iPhone6 and the second time for an employee theft.

Store security reported to police that an employee was observed via surveillance at 5:29 p.m. concealing $100 from the register on her person. The theft reportedly took place on Feb. 12.

Police said the employee will be charged with theft by unlawful taking at a later date.

At 11:44 a.m. Monday, Kathleen Pisano reported to police that someone had stolen her Apple iPhone 6 while she was shopping at Walmart on Feb. 12, between 5:30pm and 6:15pm. Estimated value of the theft is $648.
