WILKES-BARRE — Police cited a man after he threatened to beat woman’s dog Thursday around 10:25 p.m.

According to the police report, Bashir Woods, 33 of Wilkes-Barre, was cited after he was involved with a domestic dispute with a woman. The victim stated she and Woods were involved in a dispute earlier in the evening and that she left her residence at 59 Bowman St.

The victim told police she went to 139 Sambourne St. for the evening and while she was there, she received phone calls from Woods who told the victim he was going to beat her dog while she was gone.

The victim alleges that he had done this in the past, police said.
