WILKES-BARRE — Police have charged a man after he allegedly vomited 10 bags of suspected heroin while in the emergency room at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Police said they observed John Hawk, 47, of Wilkes-Barre, slumped over the balcony of the Market Street Bridge at 7:26 p.m. on Saturday. Hawk allegedly was intoxicated at the time. He was transported to the hospital, where police say he vomited the 10 bags of heroin.
Hawk was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
