PLAINS TWP. — The Mohegan Sun Pocono casino named a new president/general manager on Friday.

Tony Carlucci replaces Michael Bean, who had been at the casino in various capacities for nearly 11 years.

Carlucci is expected to join the organization within the next 60 days pending licensing and regulatory approvals, according to an email from Cody Chapman, the casino’s public relations manager.

Carlucci began his career in Atlantic City as a food and beverage steward and rose to the position of general manager of varied properties over the course of his career, according to the email.

“His experience with resort, urban, multi-location and significant experience in highly competitive regional gaming will be extremely valuable in helping to build upon the success of Mohegan Sun Pocono,” the email said.
