EDWARDSVILLE — The Pennsylvania State Police, along with the Edwardsville Borough Police, the Luzerne County Detective Division and the Luzerne County Coroner’s Office are investigating the circumstances surrounding a body, which was discovered at 8:17 a.m. on Saturday morning in the wooded area near the rear of the K-Mart Shopping Plaza.
The body was discovered by an individual who was walking in the area.
Presently, it is unknown how long the body had been there and no identification has been made as of yet.
An autopsy will be performed to determine manner and cause of death.
Also assisting at the scene was Larksville Borough Police Department, Edwardsville Borough Fire Department and Larksville Borough Fire Department.
