WILKES-BARRE — Police are investigating an alleged shooting of a cat that happened sometime over the weekend.
Police said that at 1:05 p.m. Saturday, a resident on Madison Street reported that someone shot his cat with a small caliber firearm sometime over the weekend.
The resident reportedly had not seen the cat in a few days until a neighbor informed him of the cat’s condition.
The resident then took the cat to the vet and the bullet wound was discovered, police said.
The police report did not provide any further information on the cat’s condition.
